Not always the replacement for the Mack was a 1990 County Seagrave that was Engine 301 the Volunteers purchased a Seagrave that ran as Engine 303 while the 1972 Mack CF continued as Engine 302 then was converted to the Water Supply Unit. When the County Seagrave was placed in the reserve fleet a 1992 KME from the County reserve fleet became Engine 301. The Volunteers purchased a Spartan/Fort Gary Pumper to become Engine 302 the Volunteer Seagrave was sold to West Lanham and is at Station 48. There was just a vehicle already marked Engine 301 that happened to be a County Engine when the purchases were made. The new 2009 County Seagrave is Engine 830 (A) which converts to Engine 301 because the Fort Gary Engine was 302 and is now Engine 830B when the new Seagrave was assigned.

Pete, thanks, I think I have it straight. See if this is correct:



301 is the white 1971 Mack CF pictured above, purchased by the county.

302 was a white 1972 Mack CF that was purchased by the volunteers. This was later repainted red-and-white, and then after that, refurbed and sent to PA (and now sits in my driveway).



So for about 10 years, there were two white Mack CF's running from Company 30, one county owned and one volunteer owned?

Taylor: Here is what I have from my records:



Engine 301 was serial number CF685F10-1320 delivered to Landover Hills in July, 1971. It was painted white over red and purchased by the Landover Hills VFD. It was re-assiged to the PGFD in 1982 and rebuilt by JC Moore at that time and repainted in the standard PGFD colors and logos.



Engine 302 was serial number CF685F10-1363 delivered in early 1972. It was a virtual twin to Engine 301 and intially rebuilt with a paint change in 1982. Another minor rebuild was done by the department in 1989 and then finally the Beaverbilt rebuild in 1993.



The Mack engineering sheets that I have show that the UL pumper certificates for both units were made out to the Landover Hills VFD. Hope that this helps.

Wait, I am confused.....I know where Nancy Run is...Still an active company. But someone else in an earlier post has it listed as "Chalfont Fire Company of Bethlehem Township."
