Batallion 6 is the Aviation Division Fire Commander and is red because it is located at MIA.
My last of this series is my last ride of the day. Miami Dade Police Air 4. I got to do a patrol with them over Miami Dade County.(That's me in the pic)
Great shots, Mark! I didn't even know that you were in town.
Nice shots! It must have been a fun trip, especially getting to patrol the county in the helo!

Batallion 6 is the Aviation Division Fire Commander and is red because it is located at MIA. [/quote] I gotta laugh, not at you but at the MDFD. "we going to paint this red because it is assigned to the Airport. But all our airport appartus is yellow already". Doesn't Miami Dade already know the fire appartus at Miami International belong to them? I mean after all it does say "Fire Rescue" and has their decal on the door. Sorry I felt like being a smart -ass.
Maybe it's red so firefighters responding to an incident at the airport know that it's the airport chief's unit and the likely initial incident command post?
