It's a factory photo. Shot at FWD plant I assume...

This is used as the department's funeral coach.

Some of us in the area remember when this was a front line engine.

Great photos Lindsay. What a classic rig. Glad to see Plano, Richardson, Arlington saved some old ALF's.

I remember Arlington, TX running a whole Engine fleet of ALF Century and open top 900's. The Truck fleet was ALF Ladders and Aero Chief, Seagrave Ladder, and the super sweet Snorkel. It was like growing up in a candy store. Back when fire engines and trucks had real charter and sounded good too. You could drive by any fire house and know what type of rigs they ran and you could hear them coming a mile away. Oh and the Trucks were dry too none of that goofy pump stuff. Real Ladder Trucks an amazing concept. Oh well I still enjoy fire engines and trucks but not quints <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fireman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Fireman' /> the new rigs just do not compare in classic styling and sound. Thanks for posting there great photos.

Hey Lindsay,

Just an heads up for you and the other Texas guys, the Berwyn Fire Company (Chester County, PA) just sold the following to the Payne Springs Fire/Rescue (Henderson County, TX). Payne now has it, heard a rumor that they might repaint it. Go to Fenton Fire to see a pic of it under Ladders. Not sure if this is near you or not. I need a pic of it once it goes into service.

Many thanks,

Bruce
