Fellow Firepixer "firemag" and I headed out last Friday to Urbanna, VA for the Oyster Festival Parade. Along the way we stopped at a couple of stations in Middlesex County, dodging clouds all the while. This first batch are from the Upper Middlesex Vol. Fire Department in Waterview. This department originally featured all yellow apparatus, but after purchasing a Ford C/E-One from another department, decided they liked the paint scheme on the new arrival and adopted it as their own.

The rest of the department's apparatus are in the new color scheme mentioned previously. I don't recall where this engine previously served, hopefully someone else will know.
This brush truck is the final piece of rolling stock at the moment. The department recently bought a 1989 Seagrave that is currently being repainted and which will become the first-out pumper. I'll post a pic once it's in service. Although we didn't get a photo, a jet ski dubbed "Water Rescue 60" is also available for the members use.

This next department is on the opposite end of the county in Deltaville, hence the name Lower Middlesex Vol. Fire Department. One of two "bumper pumper" rigs on the roster here.

And the final unit at Deltaville, a custom cab engine with top mount pump panel. There are two other departments serving Middlesex - the Town of Urbanna and Hartfield. I don't have photos of those two so unless someone else does and cares to post, that will be a trip for another day. They were way too busy during the Oyster Festival to attempt getting the Urbanna rigs.

Paul,
I love the internet ! I knew this rig ended up in VA - was not sure where. Yes - it is ex. Berwyn (Chester County, PA). I do not have the SO - but I might be able to get it. The only differance I see is the floodlights, and the strobes on the fron bumper. Listed below is the info I have on this.
Bruce
1984 Ford C8000/Emergency One Sentry III, canopy tilt-COE, 1250/750/40, Cat Diesel 3208T, 235 HP, Allison Automatic, high side compartments, 6.5 Kw Onan generator, 4-1000 watt premounted lights, two booster reels on top. Used as a attack pumper. It was housed on 7/23/94 at a cost of $113,807. It was sold to a dealer in AK in 3/97 who sold it to a fire company in VA.
