James City Bruton Pierce E11 Year unknown
Virginia - Here and There
|
Henrico County:
The rig marked as E-11 is a 1996 Quantum 1500/750, first Quantum purchased by the county. It's been a reserve since 2006. Tanker 4 is a 1999 Freightliner/Pierce 1000/2000, it's twin runs from FS14. Engine 4 is a 2006 Quantum 1500/750, it's twins are assigned to E10, E11, and E21. TWH made models of these four rigs a couple of years ago. The Incident Support Unit is a 1989 Thomas bus, it's used for a lot of different functions, but is most often used at a lot of the mass-gatherings in the county. The body on Fire-Medic 15 is an ALF/MedicMaster. This rig will be replaced in the next six months or so. I do have to say, your road trip though Virginia seemed to have taken a lot of twists and turns!

Thanks for the info. I like to label my pictures. I spent a week touring some historic sites so I'll have more to post.
thom2943 - Many thanks for all the great photos!

If so Could you please e-mail it to me at firebuffs@comcast.net I'd like to sometime when in the area visit a few stations and would like to know what apparatus is kept at each station so I know which ones to visit. Thanks

The rig shown as Truck Co. 06, the '00 Pierce Lance, any chance it was formerly Truck Co. 12? I ask because that is the only flat roof Pierce, besides the '90 Pierce Arrow at Truck Co. 10, I have seen for HCFR. If so, is it a '97 by chance?
Thanks in advance and corrections welcome.

Darn Larry, you're good. You either have a photographic memory, or a computer full of photos! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />
The T-6 pictured above was originally assigned to T-12...it ran as T-12 from 1997 to 2007, and then those two were switched. The 1997 model at T-6 was replaced two weeks ago with a 2010 Velocity 100' RM TL. The 2000 Lance that was originally T-6 and is now T-12 will be replaced in 2012-2013 if things keep on schedule. Here's the new T-6: As for the other rigs.... The ex-E6 (Reserve A) and ex-E10 (Reserve I) are matching 1998 Quantums, 1500/750, which is our standard pump & tank configuration. Fire-Medic 4 is a 2009 International/PL Custom, it's matching units are assigned to FS14 and FS22. EMS-2 is the Eastern EMS Captain, driving a 2008 Chervolet Suburban. Let me know if you need anything else.
