Vancouver also ran a whole slug of rescues built by Fort Garry in Winnipeg. This is one of 8 1999 FGI FL 50 rescues with a 250IGPM pump and 150IGWT.

Hazmat companies in Vancouver operate with 2 of these 2007 SVI Spartan Diamond Sirius with 22 ft. walk in box and slide out command compartment.

Vancouver also operates an Air/Light truck. The Air/Light truck is a 2007 SVI Spartan Diamond Sirius 20 ft. non walk in rig.

Vancouver also operates this shop built unit listed as a Dedicated Fire Protection Unit ( probably to keep the city works yard from using it for civic works crews for road and sewer repairs) and is a2000 FL 80 flatbed "POD" truck c/w a 63 FT.AMCO VEBA crane. There are several PODs, including Hose, Generator, and Portable pump pod units stored at the VFRS training grounds. I will post some past Vancouver apparatus at a future date.

What are the assignments of the Spartan/Smeal Haz Mat units? I have seen photo's of them being at 3's, 10's and 18's. If there were only 2 which one was re-assigned?

Shop # 81 is one of four 1971 King Seagrave Ford C900 1500/300 "Super Pumpers". For it's time, these puppies had huge pumps and moved serious water!

For a time, this rearmount aerial was first due at my house. Shop #9167 was a Thibault White 9000 100 ft. MM with a 250 IGPM pump and 200 Igwt.

Whenever Vancouver had a greater alarm fire that required a call back of off duty firefighters, a clothing wagon would be dispatched to the fire ground to provide turnout gear for the responding members. Shop #9250, a 1978 GMC Value Van, first served as a rescue truck, then was converted by the Vancouver shops into a clothing wagon.

At one time, Vancouver had two 125 ft, Calavar Firebirds in service. Shop # 9151 was the second of these, and is a 1976 Calavar Hendrickson 125 ft. Firebird.

Vancouver had several apparatus built on a Canadian designed and built custom chassis made in sunny Nova Scotia. Shop # 9179 is a 1979 Pierreville Scot with a 625 IGPM pump, 200 GWT and 100 ft. rearmount aerial.

Pierreville also built this next engine for Vancouver. Shop # 9114 is a Pierreville International CO 1950 with 1050/300/20F specs.

Two apparatus builders located in B.C. started delivering trucks to Vancouver after the demise of Thibault and Pierreville in the 80's. Anderson Engineering, located in suburban Langley delivered two of these 1987 FLL engines to Vancouver. After it's service life here, it was donated to El Salvador where hopefully it will have a long second career. These engines had 1500/300/24F specs, and the rig is shown with some of the new department's logos.

The other local builder, Hub, delivered four of these 1989 Freightliner FLA 1050/300/24F engines. This engine carried shop # 9126
