Joe, thank you for that!

fd141, I have pics of it when we owned it, but I always wanted to see it after it went to Tylerton. I was always amazed with the fire dept on that little island.

Bill, refurbed in 1997 by 4-Guys, included a new stainless body, 4 door cab enclosure and also an Allison automatic tranny replaced the 5-speed Maxitorque tranny.

Thanks Chief, I figured it was around that time. I think it would look good as a reserve for Station 56! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

CVFDASSTChief,

Here is your former engine as it sits now. It was donated to a poor country FD in Culberson, NC sometime ago. It was a well-loved truck at Culberson, but something messed up with it one day, don't remember what the chief told us happened. He left to go somewhere on vacation and had to leave the truck outside, because he had nowhere to keep it inside. While he was gone, the truck was vandalized by some young kids, breaking out the windows, etc. When he returned, the truck was in such sad shape, he knew his small FD with no tax base had no hope of fixing the truck immediately. He parked it in a field out behind his house. Unfortunately, the money to fix the truck never came through and she still sits here, rusting away.
