Great shots. Just a couple of notes on two of the photos. The 1965 IH/FTI apparatus pictured was assigned to Engine 12 prior to being reassigned to the spare fleet as Engine 265 in 1976. Also, the 1965 Seagrave TDA pictured was formerly assigned to

Ladder 7 before being reassigned to Ladder 26 in May of 1977. Thanks for posting the photos.

I can remember seeing one of these rigs as a reserve rig, in a Philly firehouse when my father took me buffing with him one time in the very early 80's. I was VERY young at the time, but i remember it like it happened yesterday.
The only MARC in 46 ENGINE!

Marc, I too remember seeing a few on "Family Trips to Philly". In the 70's we visited the Mint and the whole area near Center City - (Remember when you could see Wm. Penn BEFORE other buildings were allowed to be TALLER then City Hall?!). I remember stopping at Sqt 8/Snk 2 and Eng 1/Lad 5. Then I remember the good Old days for the Philly Muster down on Delaware Ave, putting a stream or tow out around where Dave & Busters is now...



While Not PFD, this pump and trailer was assigned to the Philly Navy Yard. I have no info to go with the slide that my Dad took. It was at the Muster on Delaware Ave in the 70's or 80's.

Funny thing, I was going to ask if I should post my PNSY photos here. I think thae trailer was called a fire fly. A turbine motor with a 3000-5000gpm pump. I use to have a manufactures brochure by I threw it out by accident. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Banghead' />

This trailer was assigned with a hose wagon, and also could be deployed via Helicopter if needed.

I worked at the PNSY in 1988-1989.



Well, here is a photo of the wagon in the backround of the above photo. I shot this in 1988, at the Navy Yard. I think it was a Fire Tec? The logo is on the side, but I can not read it. A 1973 GMC hose wagon. I held 5000'of 5" hose. Before I was hired, I was at the Philadelphia Muster, The trailer was pumping to the wagon's Stang gun, and the Fire fighter lost control of it. The stream hit the Chief (in uniform) and knocked his hat into the Delaware River. He was not happy!

Engines one and two were identical FTI/Spartan 1000gpm pumpers. All of the pumps had around the pump Foam systems, and Foam tanks. The Navy ship yard used 6%AFFF foam at that time. I did not get information on the vehicles, These were some of my first Fire Apparatus photos.

There was also a Seagrave pumper identical looking to these two, but it was out of service when I shot these photos.

This Aerial was a 1970's Piearreville (?)

athough a piece of Junk, this truck was well equipped. From the cabnet after the jumpseat to the ground, only 1' clearence.

Notice the rust under the Ax, this went all the way thru.
