Confirming what Taylor G. said, my info from the Young delivery lists I have and is the only new Mack B chassis listed. That list only goes back to 1962 and the B came out in 1954, so that doesn't mean that Young didn't build one before the LaPlata rig. Young did rebody a 1960 B Mack from West Ridge #4 outside of Erie, PA in 1987.

Purchased and donated by the Mennonite community in 1966 1953 Ford F-600 1,000-Gallon Tanker. Retired from service in 1974.



Info taken from Maugansville website. It doesn't say were it went to after it was retired in 1974, but by looking at the pic Doc posted, if it wasnt scrapped it looks to be in good shape for a 53+ year old truck that was in the fire service.

Scott: Great photos from Maryland on these vintage rigs. The Kentland Seagrave in post 1191 was a 1963 KB model pumper, one of the two twins that originally served as Engine's 331 and 332. When Station 46 opened one of these rigs was reassigned to Station 46 as Engine 462. Details on this unit and the Branchville Peter Pirsch follows:



1963 Seagrave KB closed cab 750 gpm/300 gwt #N-9425 R Engine 332

front suction, mars light on cowl, siren recessed in cab front,

wagon pipe at right rear hose body, repainted with mid-body

white stripe, added Q-2B siren recessed in cab front, reassigned

as Engine 461 in 1969, repainted white with mid-body orange stripe

in 1977, 2.50 inch attack line over left side compartments, reassigned

as Engine 462 in 1978, sold to PGFD in 1980, rebuilt in 1983, repainted

white with red scotchlite stripe, clemmens standpipe pack over left side

compartments, reassigned as Reserve Engine 8, #M-00758, removed

from fleet in 1988

1969 Peter Pirsch model 41-CT open cab 1250 gpm/300 gwt #2902 R Engine 112

front suction, recessed mars light, roto-ray on windshield, rebuilt

by Mt. Etna in 1981, repainted white/lime green, rebuilt by Delmarva

Truck in 1996, aluminum wheels, chrome roll bar, green running lights

The Seagrave that was E332 is owned by a member of Kentland. And The Pirsch from Branchville, they still own it.
