Several pages back in this thread, a photo of Nanaimo B.C.'s new Pierce Skyarm was posted, so I thought I would include a few more photos of Nanaimo's past and present apparatus fleet. The Pierce Skyarm is replacing this 1977 King Ford 85' snorkel with 1050 pump and 250 gwt.

At one point in the department's history, Nanaimo's apparatus was a combination of white over yellow or just plain yellow! This was/is Nanaimo's rescue out of the # 1 hall, a 1984 Anderson International.

This tanker was found at the department training grounds and is a 1956 LaFrance Ford 750 which once had a 500 gpm pump and a home made 1000 gal water tank. I think this served on an offshore island that was part of the city and was only serviced by passenger ferry.

sorry no record of a community or fire department in Ontario called Ipswitch. Are you perhaps referring to Ignace, Ontario which is not too far from Upsala?
