Gotta love that Hahn
Nice Hahn! On the rear who makes the red flashers next to the spot lights? I would like to put a set of amber on my engine.
Nice lookin rig! Any new work done, or updated pics of your Hahn tiller?
The only MARC in 46 ENGINE!

I have not been working the tiller much. As for the lights I will send you a PM with the part#.
How tall is this rig? How tall are your garage doors? My wife and I are designing a new garage with the goal being to accomodate an antique at some sort, either A Hahn, ALF 900 or Mack C, and we were curious just how tall our doors need to be. For appearance sake we would like to keep them as low as possible, but we don't want to spend the money, do it wrong, and be sorry. Thanks for your help.

Great Rig! Saw it first hand here in NJ. I have a shot or two someplace. I am glad you got rid of that bar light... Never looked right.
As for other open cab Hahns... Only one Other I have seen was in Bradley Gardens, Somerset County.

That's the only open Hahn cab I've ever seen. Any others used the more rounded-front Cincinnati cab. Very nice and RARE too!!
Yes, a there was a handfull built. This was the last open cab that Hahn built. It was a Hahn built chassis that was available from 1972, identifiable on the other rigs by the overhang "eyebrow" above the front windshield. Where is this truck located? I would like to stop by and see it. I wanted to buy it. I did not know it was for sale. What did it $ell for? Some open cabs that I have seen, Brandywine MD had two 1969,1971 (one was converted to a full cab) Southbridge MA 1973, Chillum-Adelphia MD 1968 mid mount aerial, Hillside MD 1967, Marley MD 1962 FWD Cincinatti chassis was the first built post 1950's, Garwood NJ 1964 Autocar CF (Cincinatti cab), Long Valley NJ Washington Twp 1963 (GMC chassis), Pennington Road-Ewing Twp NJ 1969, Westfield NY 1965 Autocar CF, Henderson NV 1971 (two), Ambler PA 1962 Engine and 1965 mid mount aerial both Autocar CF, Bloomsburg PA 1970, Wycombe-Lingohocken FC PA 1965 Autocar, Falls Church VA 1967, And don't forget the pre 1960's Hahns. There was a good amount of these built with open roofs

J
I have a alf 700 and when I built my new house last year I had a 12'x12' foot door added just for my rig. I would have gotten away with a 10'x10' thought. Most rigs the older they are the shorter they are. My rig will not fit in my other garage with 8 foot doors so id say its about 8.5 or 9 feet tall. Rigs like 900 or 1000 or macks will fit in a 10x10 door unless it had a modern body on it that towers over the cab. |
