80 Pierce Dodge

A rig from close to where I'm from. This was a nice truck.

I remember it had paint issues, the paint spotted and it looked like it had polka dots!

Sharon Hill PA 88 Pierce Lance.

Unknown photographer.

Hey, What builder was the first to offer a chassis like the Lance?

(Engine forward, short extension rearward where 1st jumpseat is, then door then a 2nd row jumpseats)

This configuration full size with 4 door & 2nd row of seats is my favorite.

The cab can be ordered slightly shorter, but there is no leg room in the jump seats.

[/quote]it was delivered in august of 1970 from the ward la france company it was assigned to engine 9 until 1978 when it was reassigned to engine 10,in 1986 it was sent to the american la france shops in dunmore a 2nd hand cab had to be installed on it because the original cab was rusted out beyond repair. this engine stayed in service until october 31 1994 when it was taken out of service and it's body was removed and used for another engine that the city had refurbished it was then sent to denaples junkyard in 1997 and cut up for scrap shortly after.
