It isn't my shot, but it was shot sitting in the same spot!

Officer's side of Cairo Engine 1, also currently the only thing with a pump operating in Cairo. Right now they have a pick up truck bed trailer in the firehouse with several hundred feet of supply line. Major fire load in this city also, as of yesterday, was told they were slow, no fires in a couple shifts, said either their arsonist(s) is in jail or dead!!!!

Unfortunately I didn't grab it. They were out and I was working in the station and really didn't want to go looking around, especially since they have cameras all over the place as Cairo is like the southside of Chicago right now! Also the waterway looks like it was done in house, only runs the length of the first section.

The Cairo Seagrave ladder came from Crestwood Illinois. Former Truck 2304.

These are not the best quality photos, but here is the Cairo truck 3 when it served Crestwood IL.

First up is in its original form of solid red.

Did that Crestwood/Cairo rig start its life in Des Plaines? I remember them having a very similar looking rig.

There were a number of near identical rigs in the Chicago suburbs.

Crestwood purchased that rig brand new. There were several in the area that were similar in style, Tinley Park has one still that is a 1976 model. Many looked close to the Chicago spec but some had pumps on them as this Crestwood/Cairo truck does.
