Beautiful shots BAIN172! Always have been a fan of the old Boston rigs! You got any of the old lime green ones?

Ladder 21's rig just back from refurb. I didn't think the Pierce's were old enough to need a makeover.

That was Ladder 15's 2004 Pierce. They sent it out so that it would be as close to good as new as they could get it so they could get another 10+ years out of it at Ladder 21. We did the same thing with Ladder 24's 1998 E\-One in 2009-10 when it was reassigned to Ladder 25. Some of the slower companies will be getting refurbished pieces in the future instead of brand new ones. We are scheduled, along with Ladder 23, to get a new 2011 E\-One in August & I would bet that at that time the city sends out L23's 1998 E\-One to be refurbished & reassigned, most likely to Ladder 19.

My bet would be that this engine is Engine 33. I recognize the guy on the left but his name escapes me.

On the rehab L 21.... are the doors on the cab a "tad" shade darker than the rest of the cab?

Someone else asked me the same question. I walked around this piece multiple times about 10 days ago when it was at Motor Squad & I was teaching at HQ and I have to say it certainly looked all the same color to me. In person I didn't notice any color change at all.

They may have been repainted in the rehab, the original cab paint is faded from age I'd guess the doors may have has some rust they took out.

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.
