Does anybody have any pics of the Turtle Creek Hendrickson/Howe Engine and Ladder Trucks when they were brand new? Also, when was the Ahrens-Fox officially taken out of service and what was that International pickup-like truck used for?
Here is the Fox at the 1989 State Convention at Latrobe.

Here is the Fox at the 1989 State Convention at Latrobe.
Was this A-F originial to Turtle Creek or did some one else have it when it was new? I don't find it listed in my A-F files. Any one know the Registration Number ??

That Fox was original to Turtle Creek and that's the original color, "Turtle Green". By 1992, when I photographed it, it had been repainted white with Turtle Green trim.

Jefferson's 1950 A-F Model HT #3485 1000 GPM, note fender compartments. WW Jenkins collection
The later Ahrens Fox pumpers with the fender mounted headlights and especially with the compartments look racy, almost like a sports car. These were my favorite of all the Foxes. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for the pictures. Yes, I must admit that lime green was the better color for Turtle Creek's apparatus.
