Glen Ridge 1935 Mack 60BX S #1018 any body know where this department is?
Frank, This Mack probably went to the Glen Ridge NJ FD. Currently, Glen Ridge contracts with Montclair, NJ to provide fire suppression since 1986. Prior to 1986, Glen Ridge had a paid fire dept of approx 6 firefighters. If you go to http://www.firstbaptistbloomfield.org/glenridge.htm and scroll down to the fourth picture, it is of a horse drawn chemical wagon circa 1908 from the GRFD. The Glen Ridge PD site has a history of the PD and the Dept of Public Safety and mentions the demise of the FD. Matt

Unidentified 35 Mack 75 BX two different rigs
The lower rig more than likely went to Springfield MA. The flared hose bed was designed as seats for the crew, hence the "Springfield style body". If memory serves me, the rig was painted black, the color scheme of the SFD at the time.
Shot these at the Lancaster County Fireman's Convention this past weekend.
Didn't get any info on this one but it was in great shape. Someone really put alot of work into it.
