This relic is sitting behind Edneyville,NC's main station awaiting repair. It was recently replaced and is supposedly going to a poor, rural FD in east Tennessee.

While driving through the tiny hamlet of Mount Solon, VA, I was surprised to see a Seagrave ladder sitting in the yard of a house located next to the only stop sign in the town. I stopped to talk to a neighbor, who told me that the guy who owns the ladder uses it to help the towns folk "change lightbulbs and trim trees." Who knew there was such a demand in a town of 100?
Nevertheless, here's the photo. After consulting with Tom Shand, we believe this is ex-Ladder 6 from the Sheridan Park FD in Tonawanda, NY.

While I was shooting the ladder, the neighbor-lady walked by and told me that I could go look behind the guys house for another fire truck. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I did, and found this tanker, which was being filled through a garden hose hooked to a pump at the adjacent pond. I suppose he helps the townsfolk water their house plants with this? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Served as KCFD Truck 6 from Fire House 7 west side of Downtown. Purchased in 1979 from the IAFC or FDIC held in Kansas City. Originally White over Lime-Green with dual beacons and roof mounted siren speakers. Repainted White over Red in 1990. Served Truck 6 from 1979-1996 then short stint as Truck 5 and Truck 11. Well worn when she was retired from KCFD, lots of fire duty. It did not serve in the reserve pool. Thanks for posting, Rick
I'm hoping someone can tell me more about this truck... Benjy found this truck (in whole) and shot it a few months ago. By the time I got down there to take this pic, the truck had been brutally destroyed and this is all that's left...
It was lettered for the Tennessee Volunteers Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and Engine 1868. Does anyone have more info or other pics?
