I know it isn't NYPD but a NY City Transit armoured truck, saw a very similar NYPD one last night but no photos.

Surprised this thing still exists but there was some similar in a yard on 11th Ave around the 40s on July 4th. Where would it be based?

Cool shot of MALT 4! BTW its a 2002 International with a Saulsbury body.

MALT 7 is 1993 Freightliner with a Saulsbury body. This rig was delivered in the 1990's era paint scheme of a white cab roof, blue body with dual white stripes down the side.

MALT is an acronym for MOBILE AUXILIARY LIGHT TRUCK

Didn't know there was such a thing as NYC Sheriff...

The NYC Sheriff handles civil enforcement such as repossessions and evictions.

Anyone have a clue who made the body for the Scuba unit?

Thanks

It has a lot of Saulsbury characteristics, but there is no external builders plate on it that I could see.

Very neat! Where did you take the photo at and/or where is this unit kept at?

Although I don't know who built it, I did find an awesome replica of it! :

It is kept at the NYPD "Harbor Charlie/SCUBA" base in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Army Terminal (1st Av./58th St.).

That is exactly why they have them. The METRA rail in the Chicago area has one that is manned by a driver and Police officer.

Neat models! I wonder why the scuba team lettering was taken off the real vehicle, unless the model is inaccurate, which I find hard to believe with all the detail work that was done to it.
