I took a trip up to Forest Lake for the parade yesterday and shot a few, including this one. It was bought by the Harris, MN Fire Department. When talking to the Chief, I mentioned that I thought that it came from Sparks NV. His jaw dropped, because only then, did he realize that he was dealing with a real geek.

Harris also added a Rescue Van in 2005. This truck carries SCBA seating for 5, TNT Tools and has a 5 KW Generator.

My god.... do you guys have ANYTHING ugly apparatus wise in Minnesota?? There really isn't any one piece I could pick out of there that I could say I don't like. The huge fully enclosed/raised roof crew compartment pumpers are amazing looking! Some of the use of commercial chassis trucks is amazing, I had heard that the city of Minneapolis had a WhiteGMC or Volvo midmount ladder truck running in it's ranks... that would be something to see!!

The tanker looks like an x-USAF R-11 Refueler, Mack R/KME 5000 Gal Tank 1000 GPM (Fuel Pump) I believe.

Not to hijack John's thread on him but I have finally got a bunch of my most recent stuff scanned and ready to go. First up is the Plato Fire Dept. in Plato, MN (McCleod County) First up is their newest rig, Engine 436 a 2001 Spartan/Luverne. 1750/1000/20A Serial# 11139

Next is Engine 1 a 1972 GMC/Forstner with a 500 front mount pump and 1240 tank

Tanker 432 is a 1988 Chev/Engle with a 350 pump and 2200 water.

Next stop is far northwestern Minnesota in the City of Thief River Falls. First up is Engine 75 a 1975 Ford C/General with a 1000 pump and tank. This is the last yellow rig on the dept.

Engine 91 is a 1991 Ford/General with a 1500 pump and 500 tank.

Engine 97 is a 1997 Ford L/Cenral States with a 1250 pump, 1200 tank and 10 gals of both Class A & B Foam. Serial# 39491W
