Aviation Photos - Post your "AirPics" here!
The 7 on board made it off - no issues. The basic story was they took off from Midway. A fire in or near the Number 2 Engine was noticed. They declared an Emergency and tried to turn back. They could not reach the field and landed (NOT CRASHED) as you see. Had fire equipment been on scene and not delayed the aircraft MIGHT still be here. The FD could not get the large engines into the field due to it being wet.

As a professional photographer, I am sent hither and yon to shoot numerous events.

Well, earlier this week, I was sent to Reading, Massachusetts to shoot a girls soccer game, it was a heavily overcast afternoon, and while standing on the sidelines, with my super telephoto (300mm F2.8) lens on, I noticed that the planes on final to Logan (KBOS) were very low and seemed to disappear into the clouds.

So I was able to get this photo, of the disappearing MD-80!

Enjoy!

C&C always welcomed.

A few shots from Thunder over Louisville, KY from our trip in 2009.

Yes, I know it's a couple of years old but still some decent shots. I was still learning my camera.
