This morning while walking my five miles around Ft. McHenry, what to my wondering eyes should appear but this sight - Baltimore City Fireboat 1 - the 2007 John R. Frazier which I understand can pump about 12,000 GPM. It was escorting the Liberty Ship, SS John W. Brown out of Baltimore Harbor. I shot the Liberty ship also, but since it is not a piece of fire apparatus, I will not post it on here. Ok, I was going to post it in All Other Photos - Ships and Boats but the SS Brown is already in there several times.

What happened to the 1997(?) Pete? [/quote] Potomac Heights still has the Pete/Saulsbury in service.

Remember both of these well. The '59 Chevy Pirsch 750/500 aka No 6 ran as E 202 the pumper in the 2-piece from North Bethesda. I believe it was this for its duration. Was retired in 1974 after BFD ended 2-piece the previous year. There was another similar to this (57 or 58 model year) as No 5.
The '71 Ford, Pirsch 1000/500 began as E61 and moved to E201 about 1980. I have it as going to Midland Allegany County MD in 1983 where it later was converted into a squad. There was also a similar one of these for E261 by Oren with 1250gpm.
