The Irvona rig is X-Duncansville. Before that I believe it came from somewhere in Jersey?[/quote]

Sorry Bob, I knew they got a new mini in 2007 made by 4-Guys. Just thought it replaced the 1983. I did not know about the one that went to Morrell.

The Snorkle is a 1971 with a 75' boom. It had an Allison auto installed a few years ago. Still in service and a nice piece. Known in Arnold as the "OX". Fought many a fire in New Kensington.
As for the 1949, it was originally red, delivered with the New Kensington 1949 L-Model. The only difference was this one had doors on it. It was 1 serial No. off of the N.K. "L". It served front line until 1988. A true work horse for Arnold, known as the "Little Ox".

I would like you all to note on these trucks it says Silver xxxxx. This is when the kiski valley area was dispatched by rainbow control. Departments were dispatched by color. For example Washington twp was silver company. all the units were a white color. Most departments painted their trucks to their designated colors, some did not. This brings a tear to my eye, i grew up at that dept and remember alot of these trucks

I offer no explanation for the bulldog on the front, but this one has a Bruco nameplate on the lower part of the pump panel. When I shot it, I was told it was an International CO-8190/Bruco. Also, it has a Hale pump. Mack was using Waterous pumps only back in the 1970's.
Dave,
Possibly a Mack motor? My info came from what was marked on the slide.

The Strawpump Ford/Howe was basically out of service by the late 90s and was known as Engine 2-3. When Strawpump purchased the Ferrara Rescue/Engine this unit was donated to the Peace Valley Rural Fire District in Missouri. I believe this was in 2000. I still have the article at home. I only saw it outdoors twice: once when I went to take pictures of it and when it came to my fire comapnies parade in 1999.
As for the "cherry picker", I had heard stories they had it, and it even made an apperance at a North Huntingdon Township photo from the late 70s/early 80s, but as for its disposition... I believe my chief at Larimer said it was an old West Penn Power truck, but that doesn't explain the hose troughs going up the boom.
Incidently, Strawpumps' 70s Ford/Homemade Brush was refurbished by Duquesne Light in 2007 and is now painted blue to match the other rigs. Also, the Duplex/E-One may be for sale soon. I am out of the loop on any other rumors <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

This one is now sitting behind the Circleville warehouse, badly rusted, and missing a lot of parts. it is not owned by Andy, but is owned by the gentleman who moved his collection from next to the Albertson, NY train station to circleville 2 years ago.
