I also like the looks of the bi-folding apparatus doors. Is the storage tank out front part of the new "green" environment building concept? looks like it's obviously connected to the building, perhaps for some type of water recovery system...just curious

EF&R Station 72 is apparently designed to be certified as LEED Platinum. So yeah, the cistern is part of that. You can find more info here:

And it's one of 9 similar rigs purchased from 1996 'til 2006. Then in 2008 they switched to the Quest chassis for their latest engine. I'm pretty sure all 10 are still around, so every engine in the city has a spare.

Issaquah, Wa. (now part of Eastside Fire Rescue) once ran this 1988 FMC Spartan with 1750 GPM pump and 750 gallon water tank as E-71.
