E7 KME was reassigned to E42. (I don't know why) The 1999 E\-One Cyclone 1250/750 pictured above was assigned to E7 when E41 got their Pierce in 2003. It ran as E7 while until they had the brief stint with the KME and was sent out for at least a repaint I don't know if it was a full refurb.

Ladder 21's rig just back from refurb. I didn't think the Pierce's were old enough to need a makeover.

The way most big cities run them their 5 years is equal to everyone else's 20 years, so it was probably due.

Unless I'm confusing things, I thought somebody posted that there was a "fit" issue with their station that led to the reassignment.

E33 KME didn't fit, went to E14.

Any more updates on orders or refurbs, I know that everyone is broke, but you never know, someone might be ordering?

Cell Phone photograph taken in the Super 8 Motel parking lot on Route 59 in Central Nyack, NY. Not sure what designation it will have, but it's definitely going to Boston.

What is normally stored in the small diamond plate compartments along the top edge of the body? Seems like this is a common feature on BFD ladders going back 20+ years....

Thanks,

Gary

Any idea what happed to L21's refurb? (ex L15) Seems like they only had it for a day or two before ending up in a spare.

why the INDIANA plates??? thought rigs were built in FLA

Wondering the same thing about the plates, but the DOT# is for a trucking company in Mich. was kinda hoping that one of the Boston guru's would know something about it...

That's our new truck. We should be putting it into service in the next 4 weeks. No idea on the DOT or plates, the truck was built in Ocala FLA. 3 new KME's coming, 1 designed for E33 to fit in their quarters, no idea on where the other 2 are going (E22? E52?). E37 & E42's former E\-One's were sent out to be referbed & will be reassigned to E49 & E50. I assume that whatever pieces are replaced by the new KME's will get the same treatment. L21's Pierce (former L15) had the body & interior referbed, but not the engine. Blew a valve. Last I knew it was being repaired in Everett.
