I didn't see this one already up here, heard this one on a DCFD video and thought it was pretty good, Adrenaline by Gavin Rossdale. And Rooster by Alice in Chains.

A good one that I heard on the radio the other day would be "Hammerhead" by The Offspring. I am pretty sure that the references in the song are military and not fire service, but the words truly echo some of the stuff that we see every day and would be great in a video!

One song that I didn't see or may have missed is "Some like it hot" by "The Power Station." Kind of a cheesy 80's song and I think it may have even been in Top Gun movie, but its another possibility.

I love this thread, my mind is really going now! I had always had the intention of using a "local" song for doing a video. Like in the Boston area using the song "Dirty Water" by the Standell's (I love that dirty water...Oh Boston you're my home....etc). Or a song by the band Boston.

I also like using powerful soundtracks/music from other places like Braveheart or Last of the Mohican's. There are no words generally.

I know that for my Dad's retirement party a few years ago, one of his fiefighters put together a slide show of him through the years using Coldplay's "Clocks". Absolutely nothing to do with the fire service, but with it playing subdued in the background nobody was really listening to the lyrics anyway.

One was done for DC by the Friendship Fire Assocation for a budget cut hearing and they used Bonnie Tylers "Holding Out For a Hero" . It was a very good video !!! Here is a link to it on youtube. The second track on the new AC/DC album Black Ice, Skies on Fire might work for a video. Gotta play with it someday, the song has a kinda a weird beat to it.
