Old CA BLM Engine

This is a US Forest Service Model 50. I knew the National Park Service had used USFS engine designs, but have never seen the BLM using them, very neat, thanks.

TIFMAS (Texas Intrastate Mutual Aid System) type 6 engine. The Texas Forest Service provides these type 6 engines to various fire departments in the state. In return the departments agree to respond to incidents in the state when requested by the TFS.

In California, the state's Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE) was created to protect the states forest and watershed lands. There are 6 counties in the state that have contracted to provide protection for the state land within their county. Kern, Los Angeles, Marin, Orange, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, combined protect 3.4 million acres of state land, an area approximately the size of Connecticut.
