What are the chances you (or anybody for that matter) have photos of Cheshire's old Maxim rescue? I'd also be interested to see any photos of their old haz-mat "breadtruck". I've heard a story or 2 about that old beast!

The old Maxim Rescue was sold to Newtown Hook & Ladder . Newtown contracted Gowans-Knight Co. to rechassis the body onto a Spartan Gladiator. This happend at least 5 years ago. There are pics of the Newtown rescue on GK website [url="http://www.gowansknight.com"]www.gowansknight.com[/url] .

Ive seen the photos on the GK website. Sharp looking truck glad to see it lives in one way or another. Theyll get a lotta more years out of that box.

Some infor to help update the photos



New Haven - Tower 1 rebuilt after an accident and redesignated Tower 1A (spare), had a new enclosed cab installed during the 1990s, located at HQ; Truck 2 is now Spare Truck 2A located at Goffe Street (along with Spare Truck 4A [old Truck 4 TDA Seagrave "twin"], Engine 6 and Truck 4); Truck 3's RM Seagrave is now Truck 3A still at Lombard Street if i remember correctly; Engine 5 was refurbished around 2002 (?) with the cab redone and some body work, still in service; Just expanding on what was reported here by the others.



Newtown Truck 14 went to New Fairfield for a few years and is now being utilized by Hartsdale or Fairview, New York, I will check which one.



Norwalk Sutphen tower I believe was kept as a spare. New Truck 2 is a TDA and the new Sutphen / Spartan Tower formally assigned is now Truck 1 if I am not mistaking.



Branford's Sutphen Truck one is now parked at F. C. Spencer H & L's old firehouse in Guilford.



Poquonnock Bridge still operates G-35 (Tower 35).



Soutington's old Engine 4 is kept at Plantsville (Neptune / "Tea Time") Engine Company No. 2. I believe that this rig was used by the former Marion Fire Company No. 4 which was closed and merged with Milldale Company 3.



Windsor Lock's Aerialscope is still in service.



Cromwell's Aerialscope is in service with a fire company in New York, I believe its Pine Bush in Orange County, I will check.



Belltown's Aerialscope is still in service and underwent refurbishing in the 1990s, it now has half-doors for the jumpseats and a red stripe.



Vernon's old Aerialscope was sold to Scotland, CT and became Tower 116. Unfortunately this rig was involved in a MVA while responding mutual aid to another town in 2009 and was taken out of service and disposed of due to the damage sustained. The good thing was none of the firefighters on the rig were severely hurt.



Bridgeport Truck 5's old 75' Aerialscope is now a spare rig.



E.G.P. of Norwich's old ALF was last seen at NEFEA in North Haven.



Woodbridge Engine 6 is still in service like DFD said, but I haven't heard any rumors of its replacement......yet (you beeating me to the gun Allen???? LOL)



Danbury Engine 10's Fire-stik is still in service.



New London's Sutphen tower is now A-35 as reported.



Goshen W-31 and W-33 are still in service. Oswagachie W-94 is stillin service, W-42 is now a 2008 Seagrave pumper.

From my town. The pump I beleive was a 300gpm Beam hi-pressure pump I beleive but the tank size is correct. I'll check with the guys from Webster Hose on that. It was replaced in 2003 with a KME / Freightliner rescue/squad truck with a 500gpm pump and 300 gwt. It serves as our air/lighting/rescue unit.



It sat at a auto repair shop around the corner from my firehouse for a few years before it was sold. It was rumored it went down south to GA to be used at a fire training school. Unsure what actually happened to it after that.

[/quote] Replaced by a Ferrara RM aerial ladder and this rig is now Ladder 1 out of Reef Road firehouse.
