Straight from the Van Pelt book, this is a 1962 Van Pelt Custom 300 with a 75' Hi-Ranger platform, #615552. It was powered by a Hall-Scott motor and would later get a white/red paint job. Van Pelt built their own custom chassis from 1960-1977. Early versions used a cab constructed by Van Pelt, but later models used the TCM cab.

Originally delivered to Plymouth, Mass. Even though "Manomet" is a section of town right on the ocean, the piece was not lettered this way when still in service. This pic shows it when it was privately owned by a damn fine gentleman, who unfortunately passed on way too early. Whereabouts unknown today, R.I.P. Glen. TJ
