This engine is now enjoying retirement in the piney woods of East Texas.

It will be appearing at the annual East Texas Muster at Lake Palestine (outside of Tyler) on October 22, 2011.

I would have never know this rig was X-FDNY without this thread. I shot this rig at Sutphens Hillard, OH location. Not sure what it was doing there, but the bucket was detached and lying on the ground.

Penn State University Hazmat

If memory serves correctly, the cab & chassis are from E-41 and was part of the "Safety Yellow/Green" experiment in the FDNY.

Also, PSU Hazmat is based on the PSU campus which is technically University Park, PA, not State College, PA which surrounds the campus.

Shot this ALF last fall in Mason, TN. I'll apologize in advance, I never got a serial number on it. It was said to be X-FDNY though so figured I'd share.

Waynesboro, PA if I only would have done their whole fleet at the time,,, <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Banghead' />

Interesting history on this one too, first off I am told that when Waynesboro bought this engine it had a 4 door cab enclosure.... when it was sent to Interstate the 4 door cab enclosure was removed and the truck was redone. In 1996-1997 it was sold to the neighboring South Mountain Fire Department who repainted it, in 1999 the motor was blown while going to a call (by the gentleman sitting behind me at work right now... and don't think I am not giving him a hard time as I type this). A rebuilt motor was put in and the engine was ran for another year, it was sold in 2000 when South Mountain bought thier current KME engine.....it was sold down south to a dealer for $20,000.
