1972 Mack CF611F-1742 / 19?? Amthor refurb 1000gpm 1000gal (part of refurb) Cha. # 1742 X: FDNY "Engine 73" and FDNY "Engine 10" X: Glenn Springs-Pauline, SC "Engine 22" NICE FIND!!!!!! this is not the same rig. chassis CF611F10-1742 was an FDNY, Ex-E73 and then E10. then Glenn Springs-Pauline, and also Inman. that rig was a 1975.
This rig is a 1972 or a very early 73, you can tell because 1972/early 73 was the only year that those bullet type rooflights were installed. the cab has the slanted canopy roof, FDNY's 1972's were fully enclosed. that could have been changed with a refurb.another thing is the body, it has the beavertail body. FDNY's rigs did not have them and I have never seen an amthor rehab with one. it also has a booster reel in a spot that an FDNY rig could not handle one. but the biggest thing is the pump panel. its not an FDNY pump panel. FDNY rigs had 2 large compound gauges, this one has all small ones. that detail would not be changed in a rehab. if anyone sees the rig again, if they could shoot a clear shot of the pump panel plate that would be great, and also take a look to see if the original horn button is there, the original department will be imprinted on it. Looks like CF685F10-1492 is ex-Islip, NY! Still a nice find!! That's at least two LINY trucks in Union County, SC now!
and that is awesome!
thanks for the pump panel pic! as Andrew said, ex-Islip, NY
I did get a pic of the pump plate. here it is
Had 2 CF's and a C model with that low beacon light due to the overall height of the firehouse being built in 1912. Was on a few mutual aid calls with those rigs years ago. Stay safe, Brothers.
Kill 'em all, let Allah sort 'em out. NEVER forget 9/11/01 WTC, Pentagon, Pa. Avenge the acts with NO mercy.
Thanks to ALL the Brothers who were there 9/11/01 and afterwards. Words can never say what appreciation we have for you all.

This is my truck at work. Its a 2006 ALF/Medic Master Job# 050219.
Great shots Gary, hated I missed out on the SC trips this year! Mine giving a run down of this truck? What type emergencies it runs as well as overview of equipment on board. Seen your ambulances up close, but not this unit. Thanks!
