I think these heavy-duty GMC/Chevy chassis are very attractive, esp. powered by a Detroit Diesel.

Does he have a bunch of these GMC/Chevy style cabs around and have a liking for that style, not just fire trucks? I ask because I own a 68' GMC w/ this style cab and am looking for fenders, didn't know if this person is a possible contact or a helpful resource, thanks.

Not much help here, but no doubt an Oren w/ a 350gpm pto pump and a 750/1000 tank, a staple of central and s/w Virginia through out the 60-70's. Cut my teeth on one.

Hoping someone can shed some light on this truck I found on Wednesday. I could not finish looking at the truck to determine where it is from because a large dog ran me off. All I know is it's a Spartan / American lettered Engine 13. This was the best shot I could get because of the woods on one side and another vehicle on the other side. I found the truck in Denver, NC.

Its used to sit immediately west of the town of Appomattox on US 460, on the right as you head towards Lynchburg.

Trey do you know where this ride was assigned in Norfolk? I have a photo of Engine 6 or Squirt 6 showing what appears to be the same ride.

It was assigned as Engine 6 from 1991 to 2000.After that it was reserve till 2006 and taken OOS and sold.It was kept in good shape while in Norfolk, sucks to see it like that. There is a mixture of older rigs at the landfill by the way.
