There was an alarm at the hotel yesterday morning, a good amount of units were on scene, I grabbed a shot from my room of Rescue 1.

Made it down street level as Engine 40 was leaving, they were first due

Looks like rescue 1 is still in the Pierce.

I stopped by a week or so ago and spoke with a few members. They were not real excited about the FFA rig and had not accepted it yet because of some problems that the Capt. wasn't real happy with.

I think that was E45 in the Bronx, who had a cutout of Kermit the Frog on the front, saying "It isnt easy being green!"

Interesting, what are they doing with the inflatable raft on the top of Rescue 1?

I believe the raft is used in the event of water rescues.

It's a 23 Mile Long Island.... Surrounded by water. Many members of Rescue 1 have medals for water rescues... but i dont think many were done or supported by the "boat". Most were dives near piers and recovered with ladders. The do get fast support from TAC 1 and Marine 1 and 1 ALPHA.

Does anyone have 34 Engine with the boat over the hose bed cover, while Rescue was running from W.38th St???

So did they just do away with it altogether or move it to another unit?

Thanks for the quick response, it kind of looks funny WITHOUT the boat... that thing has been on there forever it seems.

Sorry I should have been more specific in my question, I actually meant what is being done with the boat if it's not on top of Rescue 1? Then, the more I got to looking, it IS on there, just not inflated, which I'm not used to seeing. Thank you for your answer! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

So, exactly how many stations have a matching Engine and Ladder number now, is it just 2?
