Was this a classic Berks County housing parade? I remember the Sunday Reading Eagle would have pictures from the Saturday housing parades.

No.  This was the 100th anniversary of the Fleetwood VFC.

Was this rig delivered new to New Franklin Fire Company or was it acquired used?

• It never amazes me to see how stupid fire companies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey are when they incorrectly letter the word Borough on their fire trucks and ambulances as "Boro"

Madera's rescue was in rough shape when I got pictures of it. Its a shame that more companies that have parades don't get more appratus.

 

The last good ol' Fire Company lights and sire parade goes to Shartlesville Fire Company. Every July 28th weekend they have a wonderful time and its so much.
