It appears the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department within Arlington County has acquired a rather massive new Light and Air Unit built on an International WorkForce chassis but I couldn't identify the end builder. All of the roll-up compartment doors except one were locked and there wasn't even a clue on the mud flaps who did the body work (yes, I know where to look 99,98% of the time!). Not sure what the diiference is between the squads and engines other than they carry some extra equipment and the staffing on the rescue's is 3.

The Squads in Newport News are all extrication capable so that they can support the 2 Heavy Rescue Co. As far as staffing most Eng Co's run 3 and a couple run with 4. I dont belive the squads are anything like what you would think of as far as northern VA, MD area when you think of the Rescue Pumps but very close. Not much info for you but hope that helps some.
