Good luck Pat. I believe Bruce and Frank now have photos from the Al Powell collection of her from her Collingdale days
AWESOME BROTHER! Let me know if you have any questions about registration or anything. Very nice looking rig, looks solid. What size Detroit is in that Grave?
The owner said 238. Wouldn't surprise me since it came from outside of Philly. I contacted Seagrave to try and confirm. Doesn't do real well on hills, but on the open it picks up and does 65. Sounds great though!

Thanks guys for the info.
wardengine, The past owner who purchased it from Hanover informed me that they told him there was a bearing bad in the turn table. He said he has used the ladder on numerous occasions without any problems. A couple of the things mentioned were hanging lights, cleaning chimneys, and doing the annual beaver drop for Beavertown. When I went to look at it, we set it up and operated the ladder. It didn't have any issues, so I'm gonna guess that it was just an excuse to get a new one. When my department here in Lewistown gets their aerials tested in 2012, if I have the extra cash, I'm going to see if I can get the Seagrave certified. That way at least I have a definete answer. If you can help with any other info, please let me know. Thanks

Is this a repower ? can't beleave that Seagrave would put a small motor like that in a ladder, The norm whould have been a 8v71 just because of it's size

Pat any plans for it? New "old" lighting? You mentioned about new lettering? Is that a storage chute for ladders on the rear? You need to save up some cash to buy some equipment at Allentown in April. Great place to buy (and spend) a lot of items for antiques!

I think Joel Bain may have owned this for a brief period of time before it went to Luzerne County- if it is the same rig, I have driven it several times.

Based on the Model number that Shoop put on his photos, this rig was delivered with a Detroit 6-71N.
Congratulations, Shoop!
If anybody has photos of the ladder in Collingdale or Hanover Twp. please post. I've been able to find very little photo wise. Thanks for the help.
Looks Good! I am having an estimate for lettering and striping done on the 21st.

What dept is it going to be lettered for?
Tim,
Thanks. My friend who does striping/lettering quoted me at $500 for everything that I wanted.
Joel,
It'll be striped/lettered for my own personal department.
