That is not owned by Larry Taylor , it is owned by a man who lives in Winter Park FL, he is ex Westchester County NY. It is at that location for a few years now for the repaint back to red and restore. Will make it to FL at some point. It is called " The General Ike because the President himself comissioned the rig in 1957. I belive that it was at his summer hometown and was on duty for aircraft landings. I was told by the owner that is the only President to comission a fire engine to this day ! My B-95 is a few # away and is also a 1957 and both rigs are in the B-Model Mack Fire book by Harvey!

Gettsburg also named their steamer the General Meade and I thought that the L was named after another general. Not sure. I knew President Eisenhower commissioned it. As for the B-Model, last month, I was told it was at Lady & Taylor, I was told he had it there. I wasnt told that it was being refurbed. Its nice that it is being restored though.

Open it in the paint program on your computer. Top bar says image, scroll down to resize/reskew. In it, it will say resize. I always do 50/50, and then repeat the process doing 50/50 again. It should be a good size for posting then.

Engine 10 got a 1983 Mack High Pressure (3 stage) pumper after this. The Lime Mack went to Engine 4 and was one of 2 that were painted Red & White. It went on to become a spare and then sold from FDNY to Frenchtown, NJ.

One of my favorite B-Models. 1953 B-85. Arnold Engine No. 2. Served until 1976 when the engine seized. They borrowed New Kensington's 1949 L-Model for a a year until their new 1977 Mack CF was delivered. The pump and the body from this rig ended up on the 1958 B-Model chassis that No. 1 bought.
