This truck originally served North Adams,MA then Boiling Springs FD in Greenville County,SC. Its a 1948 ALF 700 85'MM.

Yep! Thanks! On the money! The rig is definitely Tuckerton's. It still has the spoke wheels vs. the disc wheels on Barnegat's, and still has the bracket for the siren above the windshield.

I too was able to shoot the old Marion SC Maxim in both 2008 and 2009. These shots are from 2009, the drivers door wasn't hanging off the previous year. We lifted it up and closed it the best we could before we left.

























There is a long dirt driveway that runs down between the lot the Marion Maxim is parked and a repair shop. It curves to the right and you can't tell what is down there. The guy at the repair shop said there was a junk yard down there and he had another fire truck so away we went. We drove in and were greated by this old girl.











We didn't get much chance to look at her since the owner was literally driving out as we came in. He did say that it did run, he drives it around the yard weekly and just parked it in this spot the previous day. He offered to let us buy her for $1500 but since the vacation funds were running low we had to pass.



Further down the rode we came across this old Seagrave ladder, also posted earlier in this thread.

We came across this old Ford/American LaFrance standing guard outside her department in south Georgia in 2008. At least they built a roof over her. No one was at the station so we didn't get any info on her.

Here's a couple we found up around Albany NY in 2009. The first one was in a chained off lot south of Albany. We pulled over, grabbed a shot and went on our way.









The next one was east of Albany. A nice old mack that someone has at least attempted to protect by putting it under a pole barn then tarped it. The tarp had seen better days.

Where was the old Marion, SC truck at? And does the GMC pumper say SANTEE on the door? This may be another rig whose whereabouts I have been trying to trace.

The Marion rig and the GMC were on Hwy 11 in Inman S.C.



The GMC was from SANTUC Volunteer Fire Dept

Just found this Pierce/LTI on Wellington Rd. in Prince William County VA, none of the markings can be made out other than Tower 1.

The Chittenango Mack was one of three Macks delivered to the Town of Sullivan (Madison County) NY FD's. North Chittenango got the second, and Bridgeport got the third.. Bridgeport maintains the other two, I am sure they would love to know of the whereabouts of the third one.

The Marion engine is ex-Marion, NC in McDowell County.



The Seagrave rearmount ladder is ex-Clemson University, SC.



Santuc is in Union County, SC. That rig appears to be used. I'd like to get some history on that one sometime! Good find!
