Stuarts Draft VFD is doing some inspecting on their new International, Custom Fire Apparatus 4x4 pumper, complete with 500 gwt and 1000 gpm Waterous pump equipped with a single agent foam system. Because an eagle eye might pick up on the fact that the last couple of rigs are lettered for PWCFR, but don't sport the normal county colors, here's the answer: these rigs were purchased by the Gainesville District VFD, but due to some management issues, the county's Board of Supervisors dissolved the VFD and assumed control of their stations and apparatus. Due to some legal goings-on, it took about a year for the rigs to get relettered.

And they are not complteted as of yet, I am suprised to see 24 is finished, it wasn't about two weeks ago. A lot of the relettering had to do with the EMS license.

The Mack is being turned into a collaspe rescue unit and the Quint is housed at 4 but spends a lot of its time at 11 or 1 as a reserve Truck. Not to get into the politics of it all but the name "Gainesville" will be back on these rigs again
