Photo of Engine house since renovations. Flat roof was begining to leak and become too
costly to maintain.

The most important question is... did they remount the Federal Thunderbolt fire siren back on the roof or did they take it down??

Yeppers, it is pretty big when you look at the picture... this is a Federal 2T22 (2 signals, 22 horns for those who wondered) which is mounted awful low in this picture. They have since redone the whole firehouse and the siren has been moved to less ear shattering height. New firehouse looks very nice... I don't think Prescott is very busy though, I can only recall a handful of calls in a year that they got dispatched to.

Yes it is still mounted. It was attached at the left rear side of the fire house and when the
peaked roof went on, they notched around it.

I wish I could find an old picture of the Rillton VFD Station 14 (Westmoreland County PA) - their 3T22 couldn't be more than 10 foot off of the ground. You could've touched the bottom mount with your hand on your tip toes. It's not that much higher now - about 15 foot.

This station has changed. There is a big addition out the back of the building with the main rigs in. Totally resided, roofed, and a couple less bay doors in the front now.
