Thank you for posting this and all of the Butler Township rigs, but especially this one. My dad is a past chief of Mercer Road and part of the group that bought this and the 72 R Model they had, but I don't think he even has pictures of the CF...he was never into shooting apparatus so this is a treat to find a picture of E6-2. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/luxhello.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
This was refurbed at the American LaFrance service center on Neville Island in the late 80's. It received a new Century cab, Detroit engine and automatic tranny. Also, I believe the ladder was replaced on it.

This originally served in Homestead. It collapsed and American LaFrance installed a new ladder and then it was bought by Lyndora. It was replaced by a Smeal 105' rearmount. For a time, they had this and the Smeal both in service.

This department is located in upper Dauphin County, Pa about 30 miles north of Harrisburg. They got rid of this rescue truck a couple of years ago and replaced it with an HME rescue engine, they also have a really awesome HEMMIT tanker as seen below in my picture from 2006.
