Massachusetts Fire Apparatus
I think the Explorer is a 2005. C-1 also has a brand new 2006 Tahoe, his old 2001 Tahoe has been re-lettered and used to replace one of the 1996 S-10 Blazers.
Thank you. I know the C-1's old Tahoe and Car 5 are being used by Fire Prevention and one of the 1996 Blazers went to Beverly Department of Public Services (dpw).

At least one of the old 1988 Crown Vics was still kicking around fairly recently too with another city department. The school dept. had a brown (yes, brown) Caprice that was used by fire prevention too. That was a few years ago and is long gone now though.

Hi guys, this is my first post, since I just joined the site.

I am a former Beverly native who is on the job in Montgomery County, MD. (Bethesda) I would love to see pitures of the older Pirsch pumpers or the old Lafrance Ladder 2 if anyone has them. I grew up around the corner from the Dodge St. station. I remember some pretty big fires as a kid, and the annual muster that used to take place at the Balch St. playground. One of my friend's parents owned a store in Beverly Farms, and we used to go to the firehouse quite often back in the early 80s. I would love to see pictures of all of the apparatus from that era

I also would love to see pictures of some of the bigger fires of the 80s. The Elliott Chambers fire, The Peabody Tannery fire, The two five alarmers in Salem on one day. (one was the Masonic Lodge, and I can't remember what the other one was), and obviously the Lynn Conflagration. If anyone has any photos of these events, please drop me a line. This is a great site.

I'm not sure if you have seen these or not, but there are some nice photos of classic Beverly rigs that have been posted in some other threads here.

Post's 211 through 214, some classic Pirsch and E\-One.

There are also a few other Beverly rigs scattered throughout the same thread as well.

Hopefully we'll see more oldies posted to this thread as well.

What a great thread that was! I saw a lot of the rigs from my youth. I love the Beverly stuff, but I also love the Salem, Peabody, and Danvers Maxims. Those were classic rigs. Lowell had some sharp pieces back then as well. Great stuff. Thanks!
