Just a FYI: That rig is a Ladder Chief. The Water Chief had a pre-piped waterway.

Does anyone recall seeing this truck on the fire apparatus display circuit during 1980?? This truck was a prototype displayed by American LaFrance and CDN Research and Developement. It was a twin agent unit built on an English Reynolds Boughton BR 44 chassis.

This is a pretty interesting chassis. It is at its heart a Dodge 50-series van chassis. Reynolds Boughton developed the 4x4 version of this to win a military contract, there was a also a Renault version of this after Chrysler pulled out of Europe and sold their lines to Peugeot. There were quite a few of these made into fire trucks, with many going to the middle east.
