   The next day was the trip back to Atlanta.  I had planned several stops along the way, but was unsuccessful in locating anyone to move apparatus at most of them.  I did manage to get two rigs.

Thank you for posting the Seagrave Dave! Photographed Marklesburgs new replacement yesterday. They couldn't tell me where the Seagrave went, other than down south.

So, my wife wanted me to take her to Gatlinburg, TN for a couple days so she could engage in one of her favorite pasttimes, spending my money.  Since I saw this as an opportunity to photograph more apparatus in that area, I agreed.

 

We headed out Tuesday morning in the rain, which turned to snow when we went through the mountains, then back to rain in Gatlinburg.  Wednesday arrived with blue skies.  I was on the road at 6, driving to the most distant target to start the day.  I also wanted to avoid Knoxville's morning rush hour, but compared to Atlanta, they really don't have one.

 

My first stop was a Rural/Metro station in the small community of Heiskell, TN.  The apparatus was purchased by the former Heiskell VFD.
