Without getting into the current issue that has Sanford, FL squarely front and center on the map of public opinion, let me say that the men and women of their fire department were all a credit to their profession and extremely cooperative in parking the rigs for photos and contacting the next stop to let them know we were coming. This is most true of the airport, which required someone to drive about a quarter of a mile from the station to a locked gate in order to let us in. I'm just glad we were in Sanford a couple days BEFORE all heck broke lose in terms of the protests, etc. rather than a couple days after...would have been tough positioning the rigs at fire HQ, which is attached to police HQ, with dozens of news trucks parked all over the place. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
