Frederick County, MD Quote:Palm Beach County F.O.O.L.S. Ladder 1 is a 1961 Pirsch 85' ladder with job #2499. I'm told it once served Ft. Worth, TX but it seems I recall it once serving somewhere else also.I believe this rig also served Bellevue, TN, before it was swallowed up by the Metro Nashville FD.
That's it Dave. I knew it was something like that, just couldn't recall it. Thank you!
Great photos from Chile, do they still have the Mack conventional/Simon Snorkel in Santiago?
Quote:Great photos from Chile, do they still have the Mack conventional/Simon Snorkel in Santiago?I don't recall seeing it. James Kus would surely remember. Heck, I'm sure he could even tell you a nice "little" story about it.
Today, I ventured up to Haywood County, NC and shot the rigs of Jonathan Creek Fire Department. I'd shot a few of them before but took the opportunity to update them and get some of the newer rigs. I also got to shoot one of the county's rescue squad rigs and two of the county's ambulances.

And, lastly for this trip, is a 2012 Ram 4500/McCoy-Miller ambulance. It was kind of funny, all three of these ambulances were in the same parking lot for lunch but eating at three different restaurants. Two of them happened to be posed just right for us!
Thanks to fellow FirePixer Andrew Messer for being nice enough to pull out and pose all of the Jonathan Creek rigs for me! Mark Carr photo
Ron Arnow, James Kus, Dave Organ and I got together for a few days just recently for an abbreviated version of the annual Winter Thaw Fire Apparatus Photo Trip. Unlike other times, none of us were able to shoot everyday of the tour but we all got to shoot at least 100 trucks each.
My first day with the gang started at Atlanta-Hartsfield Int'l Airport. First up is Engine 24, a 2013 KME 1500/500/60F pumper, GSO#8778. Mark Carr photo
Truck 41 on the south side of the airport is identical to Truck 43. It bears job #22357-01.
