Locke Engine 624 is an ex-demo. Initially was solid red but they couldn't have that so they had it repainted.

Went out yesterday for a few shots to add to my collection including this beast of a tanker. When specing this truck out, ORVFD wanted to improve their ISO rating and decided to add 4000 feet of 4" hose! Sounds great in theory but that's a lot hose to test annually.

I also wanted to get a couple of photos of our rigs but most of the stations I went to were out training or on a call. I'm really surprised I caught E4 in house, they are the busiest in the city running around 3,500 calls annually.

In contrast, Engine 20 is the newest company in the city as well as the slowest because E20's area is mostly suburban single family dwellings that were recently annexed into Winston.

Lot of thought went into designing that rig.

Welcome FD. From my records... Engine 473 Freightliner FL80-Darley 1996 & Rescue 1973 Freightliner FL80-ALF-3D 2000
Thanks for the info. When I am down that way, possibly as soon as this weekend, I will try to get a nice looking Toyne pumper as 273's and an older Pierce as 373. Did not have too much time to shoot anything as I was only in the area to watch my neice play some softball. Next time!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Funny you should suggest Midway. I was on my way down to Welcome, and passed Midway T86 on their way back to quarters following a run just off Hickory Tree Rd. Very nice Pierce Tower. Have been by their station but it was very overcast and drizzly, so I just got a so so station shot. Plan to get back down there soon. Also, Griffith has put into service a brand new Pierce engine. Saw it up on their Flickr site, and have seen it in the app bay as I was rolling past their house. One of these days, I will be able to stop by and shoot pics of it. Thanks again for the info.
Yeah I went by the station the other night and saw it sitting there. I work P/T Davidson EMS but don't get to do much photography up there.....its too busy. Miday, Wallburg, and Tyro are all recommended places to visit. Very nice rigs.

Thats a nice Seagrave for Denver....just curious, does anybody know why Bristol-Kendall sold it?
From the info that I got while researching the rig, they had some dealer issues and didn't really like the trucks. So, with that being said, when a chance presented it self to get rid, they did. We love the truck....I'm am a little biest, since my vollies has 7 seagraves! As far as the buying process with Brindlee Mountains...it has been jam up! I would recommend them to anyone!
