Did they change the light bar package again for the KME's they look different than what is on the Ferrara's and the Seagraves, or does each company have the choice on which light bars are put?
Nice looking piece
John Fauble
I am interested in all of the equipment and apparatus used in fire fighting and ems service.
Looks like the light package that FDNY has been putting on the new TDA's, Squads, and 95' platforms

They went from the Federal Signal Mini Aerodynic LEDs to the Federal Signal Vision SLR. It appears there is some sort of A/C unit or something to the driver's side of the diamond plate storage box on the roof.
So with the delivery of the new Squad 61, and the 2003 going into the reserve fleet, will it be stripped of it's flag mural, the same as Ladder 10 was?

Trav, that's a good question, but it does appear that new Squad 61 will keep it's mural: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...=1&theater

Squad 61 keeps the mural guessing it was a Seagrave thing. Also every new Seagrave that's coming in also has the never forget medallion on it if it is replacing a rig that was lost on 9-11. Something Ferrara isn't doing

Ferrara may not be allowed to offer the Never Forget Medallion. Could be a Trademark or Copyright deal. Just a thought.

Nope. I have never seen the copyright holder (David Kearney, Philly FD) deny the placement on a FDNY rig.

Does anyone have a picture of the medallion? I saw a picture of a Ferrara Ladder (thought it was 4, 8, or 24, however an image search yields nothing) that had something above the grille, below the windshield at the middle seam, however it was so small I couldn't tell what it was.

Those Medallions were only on the 2002 Seagrave apparatus that replaced a rig destroyed at WTC. if they were on anything else, they bought it themselves from Seagrave when they were selling them in their company store 10 years ago.

You can see on some of the spare '02 Seagraves that we use now, that the companies took those 9-11 Medallions off when they got a new rig.......

Thanks Ed, that wasn't what I saw, it appeared to simply be round.

And what I saw on Ladder 4 (assuming it wasn't a medallion carried over previously) was a small Marine's logo
