It is now part of lancaster county Haz-mat 2-9. Rumors are that they are talking about getting rid of it due to lack of use and manpower issues. It sits in station on the training center grounds.

WILMERDING ALLEGHENY COUNTY

If my memory serves me correctly this was an American Fire Apparatus and had a 750 GPM. It was purchsed by Apollo Hose Co # 2 in the late 80's or very early 90's after their engine # 2 (a 59 Barton American) suffered a pump casing failure. The pump was removed from the Wilmerding truck and transplanted into the 59. The truck was then sold to a local farm in Parks Twp I believe.

Was going through family pictures a couple of weeks ago when I was home and found my dad's copy of the group shot of all of the rigs of Butler Township from around 85 or 86. The shot was done in the parking lot of the Intermediate High School from a boom truck looking towards the Senior High School. Of the rigs in the picture all of them are gone except maybe Tanker 3. Meridian I know was looking at buying a new one, but not sure if they have yet.

Front Row - Lyndora Station 4 (Squad, Engine, Ladder) - Greenwood Village Station 5 (Squad or Rescue 5) - Mercer Road Station 6 (Engine 6-1, Engine 6-2 and Squad 6)

Back Row - Meridian Station 3 (Brush, Rescue, Engine, Tanker) - Greenwood Village Station 5 (Engine 5-2, Engine 5-1) - South Butler Township Station 7 (Engine 7-2, Engine 7-1, Rescue and Brush)
