I believe R-1 moved into Steadman before it was officially open due to receiving a new rig that would not fit in the old quarters.

That is correct. In 1973 when Rescue 1's new Mack MB/Swab rig was delivered, it would not fit into their Paca St. station and they were the first company to occupy the newly constructed Steadman Station.

Are there any non tiller ladders around the inner harbor? if so where are they located? [/quote] Truck 3 is located in Fells Point at 2120 Eastern Avenue. All the others T 21, 25, 26, & 27 are located pretty far from Downtown.
What about the old town station? Snorkel only or do they still have a frontline truck?
That would be Truck 1 1100 Hillen St.

And the last rearmount ladder that could be in any house with a Trk, 1 of 2 Seagrave Rearmounts in Reserve Status.
T21 in Brooklyn has a RM Seagrave and T27 in NW Balto has a Pierce Dash RM T25 & 26 have Rearmount Seagraves T25's is a low profile due to there old house.
