This is only the second ALF/Ferrara I've seen, the other being here in Indiana. Does anyone know how this program worked? Was Ferrara buying the cab and chassis from ALF, or were these customer specific requests? I know this trend didn't last very long.

There was a period in time when ALF was offering their chassis to everyone (think Spartan) who wanted it, but it didn't last two long before they become a sole-source manufacturer.

Well I knew that part, what I was asking was are the ones that exist all Ferrara demos (Ferrara buying the cab, slapping their body on, then selling them) or were there seriously departments who specifically said, "we want an ALF Eagle cab and a Ferrara body"? Ferrara and ALF, imagine how THOSE trucks held up. Doh

Another can be seen in New Castle, IN. that previously served as their Engine 3.

No worries, I just find this strikingly odd- it's not every day you see this, besides with HME or Spartan, and Ferrara seems to have been the only company to pick the Eagles up. I'm sure there are others, but Ferrara I'm sure was the largest.
